First...... NEVER start the kart with no-hand on the steering. If you do.... and the throttle is jammed, even slightly open, (which can happen vastly too easily) you CANNOT hang on and swing yourself into the seat and get to the brakes.

How do I know......?

I managed that disaster for the whole of the length of RyeHouse being towed behind the kart! I did manage to 'climb' the chassis and reach over the brake pedal with my hands. What happened next was even funnier to watch, as those who were laughing would tell you!!
