Hello all,
Stripped down an old chassis, I had it re-jigged as suspected a slight twist and was right, replaced axle, bearings, hubs, disk and sprocket carriers ( thanks to an older post by itpro- many thanks :) )
I am at the front end now, needing to change change track rods ( old ones slightly bent and had it) have gone like for like in length as was set up ok with toe in/out etc.
It is a 1990 chassis so has 1 central position on the column where the ends sit above each other.
Would I be correct in starting from the column, ensuring I have both ends screwed onto the rods the same amount of turns, then locking with the nuts and then work onto the outer ends that meet the stub axle and adjust accordingly until desired toe in/ out is required??
Any advice and methods would be a massive help
