I had considered the possibility that the proceeds of tyre sales may be a significant factor in the viability of Tal-ko but my contributions were aimed mainly at the IKR sector where tyre costs would seem to be more of an issue across all classes I do feel that all this 'drop off in tyre performance' is rather overdone. I bought a shed load of cast off SLCs ten years ago for about 50p each and they still perform satisfactorily at Rotax speeds by my standards. Depends on if, and how much, you need to get a 'plastic pot' I suppose, but if I were racing IKR in a class which specified D1s I wouldn't be put off to find that someone had spent £150 on a new set and I was running on 50 lap old. You can run out of excuses for not winning.
