I have wondered if a start line should become an accelaration line instead.

In other words the pole man still dictates the pace by rolling up to the start line at a slow pace, only as his front bumper gets level with the line can he floor it, the same then applies for the guy behind in 3rd so instantly there is a gap which would continue to grow up to the first corner. And so on... This would remove the pushing/loading over the current start line.

The MSA could have officials either side of the line watching both starting channels to make sure the right foot is only floored as each drivers bumper crosses the line.
