I have been involved in Karting for 40 years + European, World and UK and over the years the driving standard has got worse, starting from the cadets, now in all classes Many people are blaming clutches today.(standing start will solve the problem at the start of a race) The driving standard was better years ago probably due to the fact no nose cones, and if you pushed the driver in front, your foot would hit the rear bumper and your foot would come off the throttle L.O.L My opinion, it stems from the OFFICIALS. You didn't have an arts test you had an MSA (RAC) steward who would watch the novice before he was granted a signature The new nose cones will not work, it will only work at a start of a race When a driver is being followed closely he will deliberately brake early so the new nose cone, will drop down, and that will be the end of the race for him... So the only answer is, the OFFICIALS. To stamp it out, because it it stock car karting That's what OFFICIALS are paid for, to govern our sport..
