Here's my 'stock' answer:-
We usually recommend the same thing every time:-
1) Buy NOTHING..... yet! 2) Tell us where you are and someone will tell you about the next meeting near you 3) Make an offer on here to help carrying, polishing, cleaning, fetching and buying the teas and bacon sarnies at the next appropriate meeting. 4) Someone will say 'Hi Grande Travel.... come and spend the day with us'. You will then get a FAR closer view of what we do and how we do it and the sort of costs of racing. 5) Do that for AT LEAST 3 meetings, preferably at more than one track and more than one class of karts. 6) Once you've done that, you'll know some people in karting who can help you, you'll know the costs and the effort involved and you'll know if the next stage looks brilliant or horrifying. THAT'S the time to think about buying something and not one SECOND before then! You'll also know people who can help and advise you.
Karting has a HUGE range of options and you MUST NOT decide what you want until you have seen everything that is on offer.
Please note, this is ONLY my opinion and others will disagree with me vehemently! That's karting! Oh..... it's hilarious and fabulous fun so long as you have the right attitude!
