I thought the 5 min quali was ok. Most only do 5 minutes anyway. The standing starts were a big success in the junior classes, if you view it from an accident point if view.
The seniors still have rolling starts, and big crashes. A huge crash in the first heat took John Stewart out, from the front row. The 2nd senior start was red flagged, for the Pole man going to fast.... The clerk must be watching something different to everybody else, the aborted starts were very very very slow, nearly tickover pace around the last 3 corners.... And they marshals ate still telling the drivers to slow down.... So the have a VERY slow start, all karts cross the line as one mass, and then a big crash in the chicane ....it is so obvious that very slow, bunched up starts cause the majority of first corner crashes... The regulations state the starts must no be too fast... Or too slow...the senior starts ate way to slow
