Another good idea.... except......

If a driver who previously performed well has a disastrous round while his nearest rival is having a FANTASTIC weekend and looks likely to win the final....... then all the 'out-of-sorts' driver has to do it fail to brake AT ALL for the first corner, plough into half a dozen karts and that driver and at least 1 other driver will go off, triggering your 'cancellation rule'....... and the 'out-of-sorts' driver has instantly cancelled that round which his chief rival WOULD have won if the race wasn't cancelled.

Yup..... my other name is Machiavelli..... as it is for many of the 'quick' drivers (that doesn't include me) who would use this trick in a MILLISECOND if it helped them win a championship!
