don't disagree, but the point here is that this problem is almost impossible to solve from an Organiser/Clerk/Marshall point of view .... and wherever you stand in terms of your viewpoint on that, this problem has been around for YEARS.
I'm not saying the above suggestion is fool-proof, but what I do think is that if that was introduced, the people affected most, FELLOW RACERS, would soon let those offenders know how things stood. Maybe thats what we need to do, take the onus away from a single viewpoint (Clerk) who, despite the best intentions will NEVER see the whole picture and therefore is almost never going to make the shout as it may just not be the right shout.
The other thread about this makes mention of last weeks S1 at Shennington and the last lap incident where the leader gets dumped down to 4th - even the commentator declares it as 'loading' ........and whats done???? nothing! ..... well, to be fair as I don't know for sure, nothing that seems to have effected the result! Is that what we want as the future???
So, lets try something different!
