sorry to be negative about this, but I am afraid I don't see it as the answer or a way forward ........
what is the measure of success going to be??????? if only 3 people go off then that will be deemed a success and so that will be what we do from now on??????? ....as if!!!!
how would they have known if only 2 would have gone off by the 'normal starts'?? .......
try 'something different' by all means, but it just seems to me that this is another attempt at making it look like they are listening and seemingly doing something about it that will just create a different set of problems
go back to basics. address the issue ...... and to remind ourselves, that is the 'loading' at the first corner. That is still likely to happen as the result of standing starts or whatever type of starts you use. You still have a large number of karts heading towards corner 1 that will be competing for limited space and will do what they deem appropriate to get that bit of space
for those that choose to 'load' ...make it a greater loss for them in the penalties imposed and when they are punished, punish hard so as to a/ hit the offenders where it hurts and b/ act as a deterrent for others
of course, it is the detection of those 'loaders' that will always be the hardest problem to solve, one that has been a point of discussion ever since we first started over 10 years ago
just my thoughts
