We were told the 04 and before we best as they were not mass produced and more hand built. But since we have found that not all pre 04 are good, but you may tend to find more good per 04 than post 04. We have an 02 & a 00 which are good - out with someone to purchase as we have retired but they are dragging their heels a bit. Our best was an 2012 which went with the engine we sold, but that was set up by supertune. We saw definite differences on the dyno. So in short more pre 04 will be good compared to late carbs, but any carb needs to be set up well and in good condition. Best thing is to test on track or on dyno, make sure you use the same jets - transfer them carb to carb to back to back compare carb bodies, as jets differ also!
