"Of course X30 will be exploiting this, karting is full of political and economic point scoring. Thus we have a comparatively few drivers touting the advantages of X30, creating the myth that it is 'the best class' simply because they want someone to race with. In reality, it is no better and no worse than the TKM TaG, Formula Blue or even Rotax."
Myth suggests its not true.... When infact iv raced TKM and Rotax and in a far better position to comment on this as you clearly haven't driven a X30 if you come out with a statement like that :-)
I havent driven a blue but i should imagine its fairly similar to a TKM judging by whilton mill.
I would say to people just have a go in one. Theres plenty of places to try an X30. If your unhappy with TKM its the logical step same as those unhappy with KGP reliability and other "issues". Its unsealed. has a loverly Carb which you only have to rebuild every 3 races! An adjustable exhaust flex for easy tuning at the track along with the adjustable jetting. Nice grippyish tires that suit the power well (not too soft they chew up in a heat and not hard like plastic.) they last well too. although you won't win on an old set. but for testing they haven't got a big drop off, or major changes in handling as they wear.
My engine done 8 and a bit hours before it dropped off and needed a top end.
