As long as you know in advance what facilities are there its not a problem.
Try being flooded and you soon work out what is essential!
Awesome track in Spain but pot holes the size of mines on the entry road and no drinking water at all - bring your own. Didn't spoil the racing one bit. Great event.
Most important bits - clean toilets and good supply of coffee - good marshalling and happy people - sorted.
