They are usually quite a decent bunch at Hooton.
The shop will have spare plugs / carb kits etc and are helpful as well.

Never be afraid to ask for help and advice, especially on test/practice days as people tend to be a bit more relaxed than on race days.

If you can, get someone to set your carb up for you as a baseline and ask them about a good baseline chassis setup etc. If it is your first time out, ask someone to quickly look over the kart for you to make sure that you haven't missed something...
