Boys Boys Calm Down!!!
I must say having raced for 20 years in various endurance series I have loved them all.
I first started out racing in Bobs Race Productions series and then in EKI, Paul Bowler and Teeside championships. So from that you can gather I was a 4 stroke boy!! Since 2011 I have been racing in the OEKC and that has been great as well switching to the Rotax from the Prokart was a fairly easy step, just a bit harder to drive for 2hrs straight :)
I think what Andy is trying to ascertain is the number of people looking to race in a similar chamionship to OEKC in the north as Whilton is not exactly close to the scottish borders!!
Brian I dont think anyone will argue that prokarts are still big and as long as Bob and the other promotors in the North are doing a good job they will keep the grids! This format is different and looking to capture a different type of racer that may have a rotax or TKM etc in the garage and fancy a little more seat time than 6 lap heats and a final!! This is where the OEKC comes in!!
I dont know Rene's position to advertising or hpw he choses to promote the OEKC series but I do know the grids have got bigger and the competition a lot better in the last 18 months so he must be doing soemthing right although a banner may not go a miss!!
Cheers
