Hi Jim, it's been a while since we spoke on here.

if your kart has been sat around for all this time I would change the brake fluid and the gear oil.

Depending on whether you had just water in the radiator or an antifreeze mix, the seals in the engine may not be at their best and you may develop a problem.

The carb would benefit from a good clean out too as any oil residue will have turned to a paste.

Have you kept the battery charged because if you didn't, it may look like it's ok bust will die quickly.
