The idea is to have Northern and Midland Interclub series that overlap without coinciding. That way you can hopefully do 8 rounds if you are prepared to travel, but those that want to limit the travel expense can just do one of the championships.
People already have the opportunity to race TKM in the North, but looking at MSA grids at Hooton Park, 3 Sisters, Glan y Gors and Rowrah they choose not to. The aim of a Club Championship would be to give a good incentive to people to get back out to some of these circuits with their TKMs and compete with reasonable size grids. I would hope that most competitors would also then have good reason to compete in normal Club rounds as well. I certainly intend to, and probably at more than one of the circuits.
I'm struggling to work out why you'd want a full Championship that is national, has at least 6 rounds, and has the quickest drivers in it. We already have that. It's called Super 1. The Club Championship provides something different, slightly lower key, and quite a bit less expensive. Whilst it would be nice to see some S1 drivers at some of the rounds, I don't see that their presence would be essential for a good day's racing.
