The price range is so enormous, it's hard to advise you without knowing the rough 'ball park' you want to spend. Engines will be available from tens of thousands of pounds down to less than £100. What sort of price range are you thinking?
To which tracks will you be going: do they allow 2 Stroke engines as well as 4 strokes?
Finally, are you good 'mechanically'? Can you do the basic servicing stuff yourself? The most effective engines (speed versus cost) need proper love and care or else they will fail in an instant. The Prokart engines (Honda 160 etc) are brilliant if you have limited mechanical knowledge but a single one will leave you being thrashed by the friends with the TKM 4 stroke.
Basically, tell us more, please.
