Another thing, make sure the exhaust is all connected up properly. The exhaust is critical to the performance of the engine as the gases are sucked from the exhaust back into the engine, if there is anything wrong on the exhaust side you would loose power and knowing that you have disconnected it to put the new engine on warrants the need to check that you connected it all up correctly.
