I started karting back in the early 90's, as far as I am concerned p1 meant then what it means now, you must cross the line first, there is a reason for starting on pole. I am not accusing anyone of cheating. What I am asking is for clarification as to what is classed as tolerant. What is the penalty and when will it be applied if exceeded. I have not been shown anywhere where tolerance is part of the rules. The MSA could not show us in the rule book. if they can then fine. We were told by one of the officials that he thought tolerance had been withdrawn from this years rule book. The evidence is on the timing. That is in black and white. As someone mentioned we may well be in the same situation. We could be in p2 and cross the line ahead. The ruling has to be clear so that when it happens to us we know what the decision will be. If your in p2 and you want to run that close then im sorry you run the risk of a penalty. There can be no arguments. We just want clarification on the rules.
