It actually worked out well as the juniors who where racing in the TKM direct drive class kept a junior engine on and we kept our restrictor in too.
Open tyres gives people a few more options but i wouldn't be bothered if they stipulated a certain tyre for the classes as per MSA racing.
As the whole thing is getting more popular then more rules will be introduced and they have already started doing that with minimum weights etc for next year and besides whats wrong with someone who hasn't got the cash for endless testing of axles, rims, seats blah blah to think up something clever in the garage to get a bit more.
And there is a lot of talented drivers who have cut their teeth in the non msa series at hooton and there is a good few still there. Just because it is non msa don't think its a place for second rate drivers.
