In my opinion the Shark is the best of the bunch. The Zip lightning is a good kart (my son drove one last year and liked it).

In my opinion top 5 would be...

1. Shark (exelent build quality & components, easy to setup)

2. Tonykart Rocky (exelent build quality & components, finding the right setup can be difficult for the inexperienced machanic, kart components very expensive).

3. Wright (exelent build quality & components, easy to setup).

4. Zip Lighting (market leader, build quality variable, I don't like the quality of some components, much better kart than the Storm).

5. BRM (exelent build quality, good kart in the right hands).

All of these karts are capable of winning races / championships at the highest level. You don't need to follow the herd and go with the market leader.
