I'm not exspecting anything really conclusive because I know opinions do vary and exsperience on one engine might not transfer to another but I am interested in peoples opinions on the following popular oils, engine will be the new Iame Cadet motor:

Shell M - seems to be everyone's default oil
Castrol A747 - harder to find, castor based seems to be held in high regard
Castrol xr77 - synthetic replacement for above
Maxxis 927 - popular in some countries, castor based, claims zero ring stick, so guessing a lot of detergent
Silcolene Pro - claims to be a castor/synthetic mix but is this any more true than the sythetic elements mentioned in the small print on shell M and castrol 747 products

In truth has anyone ever found any disernable difference in engine performance, carbon build-up, service interval or internal wear by switching or using a particular oil.
