Don't go antwhere! You are a voice of reason around here.
I thought the video was pretty funny. Having gone through a couple of years of learning how to play this rather difficult game, I've really appreciated sensible advice both from this forum, and from fellow competitors. Never considered running with a "team", but you do wonder whether there might be financial interest that taints the advice given. Best advice I could give is "stay friendly with those you race against, and keep trying different things". Things that cost the most are probably not the ones to try - most of my big leaps in lap time have been very low cost. Still like the mag wheels though Traxtar...
As for the BFD thing: the person in front owns the track until they are overtaken. They are allowed one blocking manoeuvre, but it's a non-contact sport. If the guy beside them decides not to let them in, he's in the wrong, but both karts are going to go off. Reinforcing the kart isn't about to change that. I've done motocross, enduro, have worked extensively in loads of other forms of motorsport for many years, and how BFD gets to hate karting I will never know. I think it's absolutely brilliant.
