Ah, OK. But why then restrict yourself to AC, or, for that matter to 2-stroke, to single-gear or whatever? That way you wouldn’t end up having to source something pretty obscure.

Speaking of obscurity, you could always go for one of the MSA’s new “450cc 4-stroke gearbox short circuit class”. That way you would also have the distinction of – single-handedly – postponing the class’ death before it’s started.
(Oh, how to discredit yourself in one easy move, MSA. But that’s another topic – covered in detail on K1).

And to QOT: No, I truly and definitely find the high-pitched sound of 2-stroke engines thoroughly unpleasant; and that’s not to mention the stench they emit. Don’t get me wrong; I agree they’re still a ‘necessary evil’ sometimes – we still have two 2-stroke karts at this very moment.
