Was a fan of motor racing for as long as I could remember and would race on indoor karts whenever I had the chance to. I also used to race a lot of the sim racing games on the computer back then (and still do today). My dad also used to mechanic stock cars around the country so its always been in the family.

We went on a family holiday in 95 to the Greek island of Kos and there was an ourdoor track not far from our hotel so of course it wasnt long into the holiday that we went there. Had a race against some others and my pop and soundly beat them all. When we were leaving the circuit owner said to my dad 'Your boy, he very fast, maybe he race me sometime'. The next week we turned up and I then beat him too at which point the family realised that I was quite handy behind the wheel.

My dad knew someone he mechanic'ed with at the stockers and that his son was racing in TKM at Wigan so we got invited along to have a look at it (and this was back when we had grids of 60+ in TKM at 3 sisters). Needless to say it didnt take long after being asked if id like to give it a go that I said yes which began 12 years of kart racing :)
