We hve a 2011 Rotax engine currently running as a minimax. The rear axle has always been tight and whilst I'm aware that the o ring has an effect, our engine is incredibly tight compared to any others.
With the chain off the axle spins freely for ages, however as soon as the chain is connected the axle barely spins at all. Ive tried a couple of new o rings but its still the same.
Over the past month the amount of clutch dust appearing around the clutch is increasing. After a race, I take the drum off, blow the dust out and the wipe clean with brake/clutch cleaner. the engine casing around the clutch is covered after each race and its even covering the chain so the chain comes in 'brownish' in colour.
I can't see anything un-toward however I'm worried that something is not right which could turn out to be expensive. I've spun a few other minis and none of then are any where near as tight.

Your help/guidance needed please
