My experience with this operation is a bad one, once you have had a clutch drum break free whilst leading a S1 heat then you take special care to put the clutch drum back on!

Just bear in mind that the thread is on the crankshaft half so you need to be careful not to do any damage to this thread as it can be expensive in terms of results and cost.

Ever since that fateful day at Buckmore described above I have always used blue Loctite and a good heave with a long 17mm spanner, making sure that I do not leave it until just before you go out which gives the Loctite time to cure.
