Hang on, I didn't assign the proportion of the benefit of the tyres and the chassis.
We all assume that chassis manufacturers have some idea about their designs. We all also assume that the manufacturers have enough IQ to build the chassis for a kart that will only EVER run on low-grip-tyres (Maxxis Green) to maximise the performance of those specific tyres.
When TKM moved to a higher grip tyre, it would be a bit of a surprise if the old karts worked as well or better on a tyre for which they were NOT designed rather than when on a chassis that was DESIGNED for higher grip tyres.
Secondly, if the chassis that were DESIGNED for higher grip tyres DIDN'T work better with the new tyres, then it makes a mockery of all the pretensions of kart manufacturers 'evolving' their chassis to match the tyres!
