Only the classic answer:-
Weight distribution being 40% to 45% over the front wheels and thus 60% to 55% over the rear with a tendency to move the weight towards the 45%/55% in the wet.
If you want to know how to mount the seat so it DOES give those weightings, just ask and I'll repost the answer here.
Obviously, it's tempting to mount the seat where it's comfortable BUT, that's often controlled by the position of the pedal. However, please note you CAN alter the pedal positions by a good 3 or 4 inches which should let you move the seat by the same amount.
If you are particularly long in the 'body', consider rotating the seat BACKWARD so that it lowers your head height. It won't be as comfortable but it will significantly lower the CofG.
