In reply to ken Harris, the week 28 tyres that we have used for the december 4th meeting did take longer than normal to scrub in. We believe this is due to the cold weather and the fact that we were running really low pressure in the tyres, as soon as we increased the tyre pressure like most of the classes did we found that the performance was as normal. We have used these same week 28 tyres for all 3 of the PF winter series rounds, and as you can see by our lap times on december 4th myself and rob boston were the quickest in heat 1.In heat 2 there was 2 tenths seperating the top 6 which suggests that the tyres are not a problem. We had the same problem 2 years ago at the winter series at PF it was very cold and we did the same thing as we have done now which is use high tyre pressure.I honestly believe it is the cold weather that is the problem and if you scrub the tyres in for 1 session on saturday they will be fine. I spoke to some KGP drivers and they also had to increase tyre pressure to get performance.
