Oddly enough, we agree. The seat CAN make a difference.... I just don't think it's in the first 'set' of adjustments on which to concentrate. I'd place driver weight distribution and 'comfort' before 'seat stiffness selection'. The risk would be that, if you chose your seat and then altered, significantly, any of the other settings (axle, track front and rear, ride height etc.) those would have a greater effect on the handling than the seat selection and could 'invalidate' the seat you chose. Obviously, if you are buying a range of seats (stiff, medium and soft, for example) then it's no problem as you can subtly tune the chassis with the seat selection, However, that's not how I read ADZ's question.
Out of interest, which areas of 'handling' would you address first, second and so on? I'd place a SINGLE seat after all of the above, and after some other items, too.
