Hi Adam,
I found the same - Rotax is much more brutal on your body which I guess explains the shorter duration sprint races that Dave does at Teesside. In Rotax and Biland, for some races I used to be willing the chequered flag to be shown, yet having moved to the Pro-Kart grids in April last year, feel like I could stay out all day.
For Rotax, in an uncovered seat, even with a rib protector, I would finish a race day a little bruised. I ended up gaffa taping some sections of camping roll-matt to the side of the seat and it made a huge difference for comfort without affecting the flex of the seat.
