I ran a 30mm axle Tonykart viper last year. Even when using loctite threadlock they still come loose. Nearly always more on the engine side due to vibration. I simply got into the habit of doing them up on every single session as part of a routine , like lubing the chain. The minute the grubscrew became slightly worn on the hexagon just throw it away and put a new one in. carry spares in your box and make sure the thread is correct. they do metric fine and std metric. Metric fine threads have more locking power. You may well have standard metric in your current bearings, which would come loose more easy. Would suggest replacing the bearings. I only ever used RHP bearings which are much better quality than the std ones. More expensive but you only get what you pay for. I am sure they have metric fine threads too !
