Sounds like you are talking about the old clutch with the 3 clutch shoes & springs not the later steel monoblock unit. Firstly check the shoe posts for wear as well as the retaining circlips & washers. Thoroughly clean all components with brake & clutch cleaner, re assemble using a small amount of copper slip on each post and ensure the small rubber buffer grommets are in good order and positiond on their pegs. A small spring puller helps with the re fitting of the springs. Wash out the drum with brake cleaner & wipe clean then check carefully for cracks, fit the thrust washer Re fit drum with a small amount of copper slip on the roller bearing. Job done! If, on the other hand it is the new type, clean it check it for cracks, re fit. when fitting the drum use a tiny amount of copper slip on the roller bearing and ensure the O ring and thrust washer are in place before fitting the drum.
