"As stated so well by Andy Potter,he developed it it was eventually equal, then all change to favour the Green tops Formula BLUE is BLUE 100cc not F't b''gers GREEN."

The testing process has never been done by just one driver at just one track. I've been involved with the testing process before now and it has always been found that different tracks and different drivers get different results. One looks for a solution that fits the most tracks, the most drivers.

Not only that, but drivers learn how to get the best out of their engines. In fact there are now three sizes of restrictor for the green engine and if the records are right, none of them are bigger that the one Andy tested.

"Also as stated before, all change to digital ignition 2 weeks before 2012 finals,if you have still got analogue ignition working by then WHY can you not still use it,the MSA has not outlawed it "

Actually, there's been 5 years warning of the change and over a year of final notification, so it has hardly been 'sprung' on anyone at the last minute. Besides that £500 you mention can be considerably reduced by selling on your analogue, either to the non-MSA market or to some classes of motorbike.

"The "new" LH03 slicks now only last one meeting ,as opposed to LH01 3 meetings,"they have only changed the mould"!"

They retained the same hardness, so there are only two changes that could account for the difference. One is that the change to 'green' solvents and binders in the tyre has affected the life of the tyre.

Since all kart tyres had to change their components, all tyres would show teh same degradation in performance...if so, blame the EU laws that made the change necessary.

Otherwise there was a change of mould. The old LH01 mould was worn out and it is not a shape used in Europe. Paying for a new mould for the couple of thousand tyres we use in this country would not be justifiable. I'm told you measure the cost in hundreds of thousands.

"£150 a set with TAB on them,Italy don't use them and they are £65 a set in Europe."

The European LH03 is a soft tyre with a short life, the TAB tyre is a different compound, the same as the old compound that has been used for years. The reason the TAB tyre is a bit more expensive is because they are made to the harder wearing compound.

On the internet, a set of LH03's in Italy is 140 Euro, £120.

"Another rumour is tyres for Juniors might change in April,"

But that's all it is, a rumour. There is no truth in it. The 2012 regs for karts will have been sent in by now, if there was any truth the MSA would have insisted on the change being announced.

"why the #### don't Ron and the "independent" NKRA give some stability to the class, we have had more changes than a pantomime dame,"

There haven't been more changes than a pantomime dame though.

The tyres have been changed but allowed a long time to use up the old tyres.

There's been one abrupt change of restrictor to the Juniors a couple of years ago because the MSA ordered it

And the lead in to changing the ignition has been 5 years.

"but want a level field, ALL on BLUE tops"

But you don't get a level field on Blue tops for very heavy drivers, that's why the green engine was introduced. Results all over the country show drivers winning on a mixture of blue and green. I use a blue top because my weight is right on the limit between light and heavy.. Duncan McLeod beats me, not because he is on a green, but because he is a consistently better driver than me. I often beat Ron Shone on a green top because I can be quicker than him.

Could all those drivers you mentioned be 'light'?
