I've replaced the pads with soft ones; bled the system -- which gives a firm pedal; cleaned the disc with emery cloth/wet n dry; checked the cable's OK. The brake's still weak as hell. You press really hard and the kart doesn't slow down that much. You certainly can't lock up. Remaining options? Have disc skimmed because it's glazed? Buy new disc and hope that it works better? Buy whole new brake system? Don't bother with braking at all and see how the kart handles on the grass?
