I meant in terms of making a move. I agree that you're not going to do very well if you're binning it on your own.
But what was happening at D-max (at least in the 3 races I did), was that people further back would fly up the inside of 3-4 karts in an impossible move, everyone would get taken out and the guy that did the move would AT WORST be in the same place he was already in after everyone drove off again. In that case, thre was pretty much no disadvantage to just driving up the inside of a group of karts, in C100 you'd be dead in the water.
May also be to do with marshalling standards perhaps, but the sheer volume of multiple kart pile-ups at the D-Max races made it prety much impossible for most people to be brought up on it.
