id rather not mention anyone by name as it was the 'owning up' as much as the 'technique' that i was asking peoples opinion on.
breaking formation isnt allowed and that seems (by his admission) to be what happened.
i wasnt moaning. i wasnt there. i dont know any of the drivers/teams/parents , etc.
so, i wasnt slighting anyone there.
i can only say pretty sure as it could be that the engine/carb/exhaust combo have the same characteristic as the s/w calibrated exactly to one point.
i dont think my method ever misses the moment. you only ever add to the database.
all the points do not have to be correct. over time the errors are minimised. you vet any new data.
i wasnt saying you said my advice was misleading but somebody did with no evidence.
i agree with tools being used correctly. the user needs to know what the limits are, hence my dislike for blindly following a black box.
understanding what is going on and why a change is made should be the goal
