With respect, I don't get the issue... so you had to put 26KG of lead on?? So what?!
When they make the rules, they need to ensure it caters for the majority, not the minority. Are you suggesting the weight limit should be smaller? Because if you are, that means that the vast majority would not be able to compete being too heavy for the class.
I'm one of the shorter drivers in the class and am not exactly tall at 5ft 8. I weigh 73KG meaning I put on around 4KG of lead to make the weight limit. That would suggest that actually the weight limit is a little bit low as I'm shorter than average!
To support this, there are many competitors who are already over the 152kg weight limit and even running carbon floor trays and other weight saving solutions.
S1 is a national championship. In early testing, those who could make the lower weight limit with the restrictor were found to have a slight performance advantage. That is why the teams and drivers went to the organisers and it was decided only 1 weight limit would be run. Are you suggesting it's better to run the class where the lighter drivers can gain a slight advantage?
