After watching/mechanic for somone today at the Tkm festival I noticed a major majority of the grid are not using the Blue restrictor obviously through choice & opt to run without the restrictor at 152kg... BUT the rules Clearly state in tkm regs driver has to weight in full race gear 68kg to be able to run at 152kg....I certainly didnt see any drivers being weighd on there own ove rthe past 2 days of the festival!!!
How many are ignoring this rule and WHY IS IT NOT BEING CHECKED! ITS THE FESTIVAL I WOULD HAVE EXPECTED SOMTHING SO IMPORTANT TO BE CHECKED.
RULES from Tal-ko!!
Senior Extreme 146 Blue 22.0 mm
Senior Extreme 152 No Restrictor
B3.8.2 Weight (on completion of any part of the event)
Senior TKM Extreme 146 min 146kg with driver Senior TKM Extreme 152 min 152kg with driver The driver must, in full racing equipment, weigh a minimum of 68kg at all times.
WHY THEN WHEN I GO ONTO THE SUPER 1 WEBSITE & CHECK THE REGULATIONS FOR S1 DOES IT SAY THE FOLLOWING....
3.1.1. Only the Senior TKM Extreme 152 class weight is permitted (KRYB D.3.8.2), minimum weight for kart and driver of 152kg with no restrictor. The driver must, in full racing equipment, weigh a minimum of (((((58kg at all times.)))))
58KG but on the TAL-ko website it states 68kg
So obviously between super 1 and club races and events such as festival ect you have to gain and lose 10kg HAHA maybe ALAN or butterowrth should CLARIFY the regulations please as it is effecting the results of events such as the Festival.
My advice to anyone at the festival tomorow PROTEST the results & get them chucked out :D
Thanks
