Interesting comments about the useful life of a cadet tyre. I'm the first to admit that both son and myself are not on a race winning pace and still learning but when he suddenly goes a second or more a lap slower, comes in and tells me 'these tyres are useless, there's no grip' who do I believe? I've tried swapping to another worn set and not telling him but he spots that trick on the 1st lap. If I put newer rubber on he's immediately happy and the times come back.

Asking around some people claim 3 or 4 days and cadet tyres drop off, and some say they will last all year. My limited experience leans towards the former. Perhaps it's a track thing.

Anyway I think I found 2 sets yesterday, just waiting to see if they actually arrive.
