The Tonykart is a very well built kart and if you are racing at club level I am sure in time you will get results. However you will have to work out the set up's for yourself as there probably won't be anyone else using a Tony to compare notes with.

If you are racing with a grid made up of 50% or more of Zip's they will give you a very good guide for set up's so you can concentrate on fine tuning rather than finding a basic set up.

The reason the shiny sticker teams use the Zip is because they have done extensive back to back testing in various conditions and they feel the Zip is quickest.

We were looking to buy a new chassis at the beginning of the year and I tried several times to get a test drive in the three main choices .Unfortunately none of them could offer karts at the time at our home tracks and in the end we bought a Zip because we felt we were wasting time. In the end I figured that I had seen the two biggest teams testing all three karts and they had opted for the Zip so with a single one off test we would struggle to get conclusive evidence as to which is best so I took the decision that if the two biggest cadet teams have decided to go with the Zip then that seemed a sensible choice.
Our decision has so far worked out well have we have won three finals and numerous heats with the Lightning in our first 6 meetings.
