Errrr no...... It's time for a bore if there's a MUCH larger gap in the ring when it's crossing the ports than there is at the top or bottom of the cylinder.

Are the rings REALLY 'one size fits all'? That sounds positively WEIRD to me! You say 'bore' so I assume it's a cast-iron liner. If you then bore out the liner.... what 'one size fits all' piston ring do you fit THEN?
