Are you at Whilton this weekend, if so I'll sort it for you.

If not:

Check that the throttle slide returns with a distict 'clack'.

If the throttle cable is dead tight when you press the accelerator down fully then it is likely that the nipple end has frayed and is catching in the carburettor top bend.

Also check very carefully around the rubber mounting unit as they are prone to cracking on the bottom where you can't see it.

Remove it and examine it carefully for perishing.

Also make sure the needle is tight and the circlip is in place.
