I used to make my own out of mild steel.

A high carbon content type makes them easy to turn up and peen over to form the mushroom.

I never had one fail again, which is more than I can say for the Aero clutch shoes!

You don't need to open the hole out, just get then to turn a bigger flange on the pin.

If you get them to make you a sleeve that you can put over the new pin while you rest it on a hard surface to peen the mushroom, then it stops any damage to the circlip part of the pin as all the force is taken on the flange of the pin.

I never fancied the bolt up repair pins too much.
