I wasn't suggesting that drivers need to become fully fledged expereinced marshals or have any ongoing reponsibility to participate in marshalling -just that everyone should do some marshalling as part of their preparation as as a novice driver or to pass ARKS so that they can se racing from another perspective and realise what difficulties there can be for the marshals How may times have you heard it said " the marshal must have seen it ?"
It is only when you have been in that position watching 10 or 15 karts whizz past you at 50 miles an hour that you realise you are sometimes unable to say who caused what to whom or when although it does get easier with experience for those of us that have spent several hundreds of hours on marshal posts.
