Oh... I've 'done' Donnington many more times. Simply STUNNING......

...... but..... if you think the Craner aurves are steep, then Paddock at Brands will leave you GAPING! By CHRIST is that steep...... and blind until you are over the crest..... In a kart, you turn in LONG before you can even SEE there's a corner..... and the COMPRESSION as you change from sharp downward to violent UPWARD is.... MINDBLOWING... each lap you keep expecting the kart to collapse under the pressure.

The..... if that wasn't enough..... you arrive at Druids.... there's two 'crests' on arrival and you only sight the corner as you crest the second one..... and, every lap, you are CERTAIN you have left the braking too late.... and you bewail that, this time.... you are TOO late as you skitter through, promising all the Gods that you'll brake earlier NEXT lap if they just let you get through THIS ....... until you arrive at the second hump again and ARGHHHHHHH..... not again!

Each time you go down the straight.... you realise..... this is BRANDS where you've watched ALL your favourite F1 drivers since a child and...... this IS the SAME straight raced by Jim Clark, Jochen Rindt, Mario Andretti, Ronnie Peterson......

Simply driving down the PIT lane is enough......

Do I sound DEEPLY in love with that track.....?
