To be honest i dont know ! i sripped the starter bare( although i was 99.99% sure it was ok ) thoroughly cleaned everything in sight,rebuilt and fitted,still would not start.
I then removed the coil ( bearing in mind it starts first time on the cord,which proves the coil is ok )i refitted the coil the wrong way just to prove to myself i'am not going mad-no spark which is right.Fitted the coil correctly and now starts every time on the starter !!!.
I'still using the same battery which as not been on charge while trying to sort the problem out.Still baffled,but its working :-)
