It also takes away ANY advantage of NOT 'loading'....
You can describe it as you like but the concept of 'collective responsibility' fails when there is NO 'mutual agreement for decency' between participants. That system worked when only 'gentlemen' raced..... but THAT ceased before I started racing WAY back in the 1960s.
When 'honour' disappeared, it was replaced by PERSONAL responsibility. In my day, we were responsible for our actions and each one of us got punished if (errrrr.... when) we cheated. That's completely fair.
What's gone wrong is that the guilty no longer GET punished! Reverse that situiation and the problem will cease, within WEEKS!
We all know the 'star' driver can get away with most things.... that's what I would STOP immediately! In 'my world', the stars gain extra responsibility and they will be watched MORE closely BECAUSE of their abilities! It's tolerable for a novice to 'miss his brakes' occasionally but it's NOT for a recognised 'driver'!
Hit the 'stars' hard and REGULARLY (if they cheat) and it'll soon get known that the club is SERIOUS about discipline!
